Her dermatologist started her on hydrocortisone and tacrolimus. After a few weeks, it was obvious the hydrocortisone wasn't doing the job, so she was bumped up to triamcinolone for her body, hydrocortisone for her face, and Vaseline for any non-rashy areas.

I got prescribed 'triamcinolone acetonide' and have been using for years. I just found out that you're not meant to use it for a long period. Aside from getting crazy hair growth in my face (chin, forehead, cheeks), which grows back after a week of waxing… i can't use any other cream.

it's only been 4 days and I'm responding really well. I'm talking like 10% of my body was scab and it's almost not even red anymore.

Is Triamcinolone acetonide Right For Me?

Triamcinolone acetonide is a corticosteroid nasal spray that helps reduce inflammation in your nose. It belongs to a class of medications called topical corticosteroids.
Triamcinolone acetonide might be right for you if:
  • You are 2 years or older

  • You have symptoms of hay fever or upper respiratory allergies

  • You have symptoms like nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, or itchy nose

It works by reducing inflammation, swelling, and irritation in your nasal passages. This helps relieve symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion caused by allergies.
Safe for children 2 years and older, but with specific dosing instructions. Children 2-6 years should use 1 spray per nostril daily. Children 6-12 years can use 1-2 sprays per nostril daily. Not recommended for children under 2 years. Note: May affect growth rate in some children if used long-term (longer than 2 months per year).
Generally safe for elderly patients. No specific age-related concerns have been reported, but as with any medication, elderly patients should be monitored for potential side effects.
Use during pregnancy should be discussed with your healthcare provider. The benefits may outweigh the risks in some cases, but there isn't enough research to be completely certain about its safety during pregnancy.
It's not known whether triamcinolone acetonide nasal spray passes into breast milk. Consult with your healthcare provider before using while breastfeeding.
